Our First River Cruise With Tauck
We’re headed out soon for our first river cruise with Tauck.
Carol and I are about to embark on our 13th river cruise—and while we’ve sailed with nearly every major river cruise line that caters to U.S. travelers within the Virtuoso Travel Network, this upcoming journey marks an exciting first for us: our very first river cruise with Tauck.
Before I begin this article, I want to let you know that Tauck has become one of our most trusted travel brand partners.
We’ve booked well over $1 million of travel with them in the last 12 months, and our clients rave about the Tauck experience. And so do we!
Please take a peek at our personal journeys with Tauck:
Who Is Tauck?
Founded in 1925 (100 years!), Tauck has long been celebrated for its guided land journeys, but its European river cruises have earned equal acclaim over the past two decades. Known for seamlessly curated itineraries, all-inclusive pricing, and exclusive onshore experiences, Tauck takes a distinctive approach to river cruising.
Their motto, “how you see the world matters,” reflects a deep commitment to authenticity, access, and elevated service—values we deeply appreciate as seasoned travelers.
Tauck River Cruising
Tauck’s European river cruise fleet includes purpose-built vessels that sail iconic rivers like the Danube, Rhine, Rhône, and Seine. Each boat carries fewer guests than similarly sized ships from other lines, ensuring a more spacious, personalized onboard experience. Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows and French balconies, while public spaces—from panoramic lounges to intimate fine-dining venues—offer comfort and style with unobstructed views of the passing landscapes.
New Ships for Tauck
Looking ahead, Tauck recently revealed exciting news: two new ships will join the fleet in 2026—the ms Serene, sailing the Seine, and ms Lumière, cruising the Rhône. These vessels will offer 300-square-foot suites, a sun deck pool, and a wellness space called The Retreat. With a capacity of just 110 guests, Tauck is once again raising the bar for river cruise luxury and exclusivity.
Our Cruise With Tauck: Belgium & Holland in Spring
For this cruise, we’ll be experiencing Tauck’s Belgium and Holland in Spring itinerary—a beautiful eight-day journey through the Low Countries during tulip season. Sailing northbound, we’ll begin in Brussels, the vibrant Belgian capital known for its grand architecture and rich cultural heritage. From there, we’ll head to Antwerp, a historic port city famed for its art, diamonds, and ties to Rubens. We’ll also visit the Red Star Line Museum, which shares moving stories of European emigrants bound for America.
Next, we’ll cruise through the picturesque countryside of Belgium and the Netherlands, stopping in Ghent and Bruges—two of Belgium’s most charming medieval cities. With their cobbled streets, canals, and storybook architecture, they’re sure to be highlights of our journey. Crossing into the Netherlands, we’ll explore Kinderdijk, home to the iconic 18th-century windmills that form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spring’s floral glory awaits in Lisse, where we’ll experience the breathtaking Keukenhof Gardens, one of the world’s largest and most colorful flower gardens. We’ll end our cruise in Amsterdam, where we’ll explore the city’s iconic canals, enjoy an in-depth visit to the Rijksmuseum, and savor the final moments of our journey in one of Europe’s most photogenic capitals.
Special Roundtrip Air Packages
Another great reason to consider Tauck for your next journey is their Take Off With Tauck air program. It offers competitive, inclusive airfare pricing from major U.S. gateways to Europe without hidden taxes or fees. Even better, Tauck includes complimentary airport transfers regardless of when you choose to arrive or depart. It’s a convenient and value-packed way to simplify your travel planning while enjoying the high standards of service Tauck is known for. This special air program ends on March 31, 2025, and is for new bookings only.
We’re Ready To Go!
As first-time Tauck cruisers, we’re eager to compare this experience to others we’ve enjoyed. The itinerary promises a perfect blend of history, culture, and springtime beauty. We can’t wait to share it with you.
We invite you to follow along on our journey! We’ll be sharing stories, photos, and video highlights from our Tauck river cruise across our social media platforms. Be sure to join us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for real-time updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses of river cruising, Tauck style.
Let the adventure begin!

WE’VE GOT THE PERKS
HOW TO BOOK A TAUCK JOURNEY
As our clients have learned over the years, there is no financial advantage to booking directly with any travel brand. The price will be the same if you book with us or book with Tauck directly.
However, as a Tauck Certified Agency, we have complimentary perks if you book with us and are a first-time traveler with Tauck. That’s right. Book your Tauck journeys with Roaming Boomers Travel, and we will add a complimentary one-night pre or post-journey hotel stay to your booking (subject to availability).
If you have already traveled with Tauck and make a new booking with us before July 31st, and that new booking is for the following calendar year, Tauck has “The Gift of Time” (free hotel night) available to their past guests. We’ll be sure to get that added to your booking.
As I’m sure you know, the travel industry is very busy. Therefore, call us today to get the best available options. And, of course, if you have more questions, please feel free to call.
