Global Entry Service Temporarily Suspended: What Travelers Need To Know
Global Entry suspended: If you have upcoming international travel, there is an important update you should know about.
As of 6:00 a.m. ET on February 22, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has halted Global Entry arrival processing at participating U.S. airports due to the current federal funding lapse. This means Global Entry kiosks and dedicated arrival lanes are temporarily unavailable.
What does this mean for you?
Global Entry members may still enter the United States, but expedited arrival processing is paused. According to CBP:
- U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who are Global Entry members should proceed through the primary processing lanes designated for arriving U.S. travelers.
- All other Global Entry members should use standard visitor processing lanes.
Officers who normally process Global Entry travelers have been reassigned to assist with general arrival processing.
TSA PreCheck remains operational at this time, so expedited security screening for departing flights within the United States is not affected.
Travelers should expect longer arrival wait times, particularly at major international gateways. If you have a tight connection following an international arrival, it may be wise to allow additional time where possible.
