I don’t know why I even waste the paper writing New Year’s Resolutions. I could just recycle the one from last year. And the year before that. And the year before that.
Still I go through the exercise because I like the optimism – that this will be the year I finally:
…lose those ten…um fifteen pounds
…finally land that book contract
…get that bungalow by the beach
On the Other Hand
Resolutions like that are like dreams I aspire to, and while I don’t get all the way, I’ll take a partial victory. I lost five pounds this year.
I go to the gym at least three times a week. I had something accepted for publication by an outlet I respect.
And while I don’t have a beach bungalow –yet–my good friend moved to Florida a short drive away from a beach. I take the partial win – I’m getting there!
But what about you? What are your resolutions for 2022, and what were your high points in 2021? Let us know in the comments!
