Everyone Likes To Win, Right?!?…
This last week, I launched my first ‘Giveaway’ for my Blog, or more specifically, for ‘Made You Smile Back’. Actually, it took some time and reflection before ‘pulling the trigger’ in deciding to go forward with it… Why?
Well let’s be honest. The first thought that popped in my mind was ‘oh what will my readers think?!’ Of course, the last thing I wanted them to think was they were getting bombarded and ‘spammed’ yet again from another online marketer who was just in it for the money.
Here’s the deal… from day one I have always strived to be myself — genuine, authentic, transparent, whatever you want to call it. So for the rest of the evening, sitting on my living room sofa with my laptop, I pondered this question and put all the pros and cons on paper and made the decision to go for it.
It all boils down to this… it ended up being a business decision but with the caveat… it had to benefit my ‘Facebook Group’ as a whole. And when I realized all the benefits that could be received, it was a no brainer to move forward.
Scaling Up in a Big Way
When I took a reflective step back and asked myself… why was it so important to expand my Facebook Community Group, ‘Achieving Happiness’, I had an immediate epiphany…
“Achieving Happiness is much more than just a Facebook Group, it’s about having like-minded, positive-oriented and caring members supporting one another in our own personal quest of ‘achieving happiness’! What we are known for! “
Achieving Happiness provides encouragement, positivity and inspiration and with total authenticity and sincere engagement from one another. Achieving Happiness is a private ‘non-judgment’ forum where one can go to get up-lifted and admit they may be having a ‘down day’ or facing ‘life struggles’. It’s all about engagement and interaction from each other in helping one another ‘get over the hump’!
And not only that, our community provides thought-provoking content that alot of people would prefer to ignore (or if I may be so blunt… to keep their heads in the sand…)
It is important, if not vital, that the message about removing the ‘stigma of mental health illness’ be heard. Because I don’t know about you… but I honestly believe there is ‘no one‘ immune from suffering from mental health issues, even if it is just the everyday ‘blues’.
We all suffer from bouts of sadness, grieve, anxiety issues and just plain ole ‘depression’. And yes, I agree, some more than others…
Here’s the deal… mental illness does not discriminate. So why keep it a secret? We NEED to talk about it and bring it to the forefront. And it is with immense pride that I say, this is exactly what ‘Achieving Happiness’ AND ‘Made You Smile Back’ is all about!
Achieving Happiness has a much ‘bigger plan’. I want our group to grow and grow and ‘scale up’. I want both ‘Achieving Happiness AND ‘Made You Smile Back’ be a part of something BIGGER! To become an ‘influential’ social media player in the area of mental health awareness. I want our community to not only do ‘our part’ in helping remove the stigma of mental illness, I want us to do this in a BIG way.

And how can we achieve this awesome goal! By inviting others to join… by our own Facebook Group members reaching out to their ‘like-minded, positive-oriented’ Facebook friends and family.
If we all do this, I believe sincerely we can grow our dynamic group to at least 5,000 strong by the end of this year! And we shall become a ‘voice to be reckoned with’ with visible Social Media attention.

I realized that by doing a successful and effective campaign launching a ‘Giveaway Promotion’ is key. This campaign would allow our existing Facebook Members and Made You Smile Back subscribers to not only find out about all the various ‘products and services’ that Made You Smile Back has to offer… I also wanted everyone to be able to actively participate by getting additional ‘entries’ (and thus increasing their individual chances to win…) by INVITING others to join our dynamic, Facebook Group, Achieving Happiness!
