Summer Cocktails
Sampling tasty cocktails in the mountains has been a glorious way to celebrate my retirement. Sipping cocktails poolside, deckside and even by the golf course, yes it was a glorious vacation trip. And sampling all the unique liquor (spirits) we can buy in the US of A. Margarita’s have always been a huge hit in our family but Strawberry Lemonade was not something I had tried in the past. A little sweet but totally refreshing.
What do I need for a Strawberry Lemonade Margarita
A Strawberry Lemonade Margarita is not much different than your traditional margarita. Subbing the orange juice for Strawberry Lemonade and you are ready to go. Add some strawberry garnish, pour it in a great glass and you are set to enjoy the moment.
Ingredients
- 3 Ounce Strawberry Lemonade
- 2 Ounce’s Tequila
- 1 Ounce Triple Sec
- 1/2 Ounce Simple Syrup
- Ice Cubes
- Lemon Slices
- Strawberries
- Margarita Salt
How to make a Margarita
Creating this refreshing drink is managed in a few simple steps. Basically pour, mix, shake and pour. It is like ready set go. If you are not an “on the rocks person”, pull out the blender and crush it all together. My personal preference is the frozen but Kent likes on the rocks the best.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Pour in tequila, simple syrup & triple sec.
- Add the strawberry lemonade.
- Shake well.
- Coat the rim of a glass with lemon juice and roll in margarita salt.
- Pour into a glass and garnish with lemon slices & strawberries.
- Cheers.
