Well I am a little late to this party for sure. Took a bunch of pictures of my Shein Rainbow Cardigan before I left on the Eater break and here they were still in drafts. Let’s face it real life happens. I was on the East Coast for Easter visiting the “grands” so who was to take time away for blogging? Not me that was for sure. Sharing today how Shein Fashion for Midlife is where it’s at.
Now I realize I haven’t posted all week, facepalm. Been dealing with backyard woes, fallen gazebo, sinking deck, you name it, w have it. Long days working leaves little time for fun fashion. So much for the laziness of Retirement life lol. No matter, life will settle and I will still keep sharing. For today I thought I would throw out a few interesting possible “not popular opinion” comments. So ,let’s get to is shall we does Shein Fashion work for the midlife woman. Is it practical and possible?

Shein Fashion at Midlife
So many peers I have talked to seem to think Shein is for the youngins aka those under 30 or maybe even 40. Mentioning that there is no way those styles will work on us. Then they critique the quality and workmanship. Well folks let me tell you 1) Shein is totally great for us 50 plus midlife women and 2)the quality is good.
Let’s talk quality first, no the products are not silk and cashmere, although I have found plenty of cotton and linen. The stitching is great and I have not returned anything because it is cheap feeling/looking. Sizing you do have to pay attention to though, look at their size charts they work. Shein may be thought of as ” fast fashion” but I have had pieces in my closet for years, and by years I mean I ordered my Orange blazer in 2016.
If you have pieced in your closet for seven years and they still work, is it really bad “fast fashion” I think not. For the midlife fashionista or just midlife woman wanting affordable fashion, order, trust me you will not regret it. Just make sure you use the sizing guides, I usually order one to two sizes up and everything fits fine.
Shein Rainbow Cardigan
Lets talk sweaters now shall we, I have a few Shein Sweaters in my closet. In particular I have two amazing Rainbow Cardigans. A paler pastel version that features pockets and open front, and then this baby. Shockingly I have owed this since 2020 but never shared on the blog. Yet another piece of evidence pointing to how bad a blogger I have been lately.
But back to the here and now how fun is this beauty? It is an acrylic knit but washes and wears beautifully. Fun button up front and a just covers the butt length. It pairs beautifully with jeans and leggings and makes a great pairing with a fun skirt or dress if you wish.
A Shoe Dazzle Moto for Fun
Today I also added a fun pale blue moto boot I ordered from Shoe Dazzle. Big tip, head there now because the pink ones are on super sale. These are so fun and did I mention comfortable? Total wearable and walkable if that is a word I can use. The heel height is 2.25 inches but because of the front sole, more like an inch pus or minus.
Add in my lucky jeans and I fun cami and I am set for the day.
Midlife is not Old
My advice for today is don’t discount your options. Places like Shein and Shoe Dazzle may seem on the surface to be younger fashion but they still work for us. Remember we are not our moms and our fashion style has to work for us.
