I recently lost my wallet (or, more accurately, it was stolen). Recovering from this loss was a nightmare, both emotionally and logistically.

We love learning about the different culinary traditions across each of Italy’s 20 regions. Vino (a new book that I purchased for my husband for Father’s Day)is the perfect “pairing.” It was named one of the year’s best wine books by Eric Asimov of The New York Times.
The book is eminently readable, an approachable guide to the different regional wines, winemakers, and vineyards. Perfect for armchair travelers or anyone interested in wine tourism. The first author, Joe Campanale, is a sommelier and restaurateur who is passionate about Italian wines.

With the ubiquity of smartphones, every traveler has become a photographer but some are better than others. This new travel photography book by Scott Kelby offers the tricks used by professionals, including advice on pre-trip research, photographic gear, camera settings, and the type of shots that are most memorable.
No matter the destination or the subject that is chosen, the reader will be able to sharpen their focus on photography. Even the stunning images accompanying the text will inspire better picture-taking. We especially loved Kelby’s advice on when it makes the most sense to use your cell phone instead of a camera. The Kindle version is perfect reading for a long-haul flight.

I’m not sure that this Three-Size Stone Trivet Set was intended to hold TV remotes but if you have a glass or fine wood tabletop and a husband who tends to place objects (remotes, drinks, etc.) on it, this set of felt trivets will save you a lot of worries.
